Current Projects
Laboratories of Return is a series of interdisciplinary workshops for Bulgarians who have lived abroad and returned. More than just a creative meetup, these sessions are part of an R&D (Research & Development) phase for a new documentary-style devised performance exploring the dynamics of returning in Bulgaria.
Becoming British is a six-hour durational performance exploring migration, identity, and the cost of belonging. Through task-based actions performed by five migrant performers, it invites audiences to witness the emotional and bureaucratic labour behind “fitting in” and to reflect on what it truly means to “become British”.
A performance and visual art project exploring the hidden boundaries between neighbouring communities. Co-created with artist Uzma Rani and rooted in academic research, Blurring the Edges invites audiences to reflect on identity, difference, and connection—through sound, conversation, and immersive art.
Becoming [...] Concept Touring
Becoming […] is a series of co-created, site-specific residencies exploring identity and belonging through the voices of local first-generation migrants. From immersive gatherings to protest performances, each chapter - across the UK, Germany, Romania, and the Czech Republic – responded to its local context. Supported by Perform Europe in 2022, the series reimagined touring as locally relevant, rooted, collaborative, and politically engaged.

НОЩНИ ПЕПЕРУДИ (Night Butterflies)
Нощни Пеперуди (Night Butterflies) is a verbatim performance created from the real-life testimonies of women working in the Bulgarian sex industry. Moving between the personal and the political, the show brings "invisible" stories to the stage to challenge stigma and systemic neglect. As Assistant Director, I supported the transition from research to performance and worked with the team to ensure the smooth running of our run at Toplocentrala.
TOFU is creative performance project exploring the ingredient’s global journey through storytelling, movement, and shared meals. The project blends research, lived experience, and collective joy to explore food as both cultural inheritance and a site of resistance.
Esen (working title) is a performance project inspired by traditional Bulgarian food preservation and seasonal rituals. Through shared cooking, memory, and storytelling, the work invites audiences to slow down and reconnect with their roots and those around them.
